Sometimes, I share the most boring stuff, which book I just finished reading, which movie we just saw, which TV series/season I just finished.
Other times, I wear my heart on my sleeve, writing about feelings, friends, work, etc., and it seems i tend to knock it out of the park on those occasions (go figure).
I really need to try to get into writing a major thought down once a day, and post it on my blog/website…[“if you build it, they will come”]. Just not sure if I can think of a good topic or story each day, to draw the people in. I’ve got 30 plus years of great/good/not so good experiences, there must be some good short (very short) stories there somewhere.
I figure after 35 yrs of adult life, times 365 days per yr, that gives around thirteen thousand days of experiences to draw from. Let’s say, out of those 365 days a yr, maybe, five percent of those are ones where you have a memory of some major or minor life experiece (that’s about 18 per yr) that should give me about 650 experieces or stories I can relate and share on this blog. If I do that once a day, on a daily basis, I’ll only have enough stories for 2 yrs worth of daily blog stories. Of course, during my blogging for the next 2 yrs, I’m adding on to that list of life experieces, but, of course, I won’t have the huge backlog as I do now.
Well, do you think, you could come up with 650 stories of your life – that still sounds like a lot – I guess I should have kept better notes or maybe refer to my work journals which, more of the time, only captured what I did at work, and not what I did, in my perosnal life. There was a time, when I wrote down my personal life experieces, sometime right after high school for a couple or few yrs. I then restarted doing that in the mid-2000’s, but stopped once I was laid off at Unisys. I remember this, since I used a PC app to enter in my thoughts, but fell out of the habit after leaving there – and sitting around for 9 months at home, looking for jobs.
Why am I doing this? This website, or this new daily blog of my experiences – I don’t know – it could have to do with my Daughter Elyse, and to provide her with some additional background regarding her “bio-dad”.
More later.
