You may remember: The companion’s oldest (26 in Aug) son finally moved out of the house about a yr and a half ago, moving out-of-state, to Colorado, with a friend, “to work” (since he wasn’t able to find/get a job here for more than 2-1/2 years while living with us).
At the time, we thought it would be good for him, to finally be on his own, but it’s not worked out as everyone had hoped.
Learned today via a collect call from jail he is again in trouble with the law (having not appeared for a previous Colorado DUI court date, and now getting caught driving on a suspended license), and is in jail once again.
Of course, he’s missed several MN probation meetings (for his earlier MN shenanigans) the past few months here as well, due to living out there, and was planning on coming back this month to prevent the risk of having a bench warrant being issued for his arrest here. Well, that plan has now gone to hell.
The CO bail bondsman wants $2k and a signature to cover the $20k bond. His dad has already said no way is he taking the risk of a $20k debt if his son doesn’t show up for the hearing <or whatever its called>.
Lots of anguish and turmoil in AV tonight. The boy has gotten himself into so many “predicaments” (15-20??) since high school. He’s already caused so much grief for his parents – isn’t it now time for “tough love”?? Not sure how I would handle this if he were my kid. [No sleep tonight for me obviously – not sure why since its not my decision].

I am pondering whether I should document the history of his antics when they involved me…I guess I can always make these particular postings private.
Gotta remember to share what I found on the web last night: A former friend of his has apparently created a website(s) regarding making a loan to Ryan and never being paid back.
