I’ve spoken a few times before, about a former colleague of mine – where we meet about once a yr for lunch, and we always welcome each other with a huge hug, and it’s as if it were “just last week” when you saw them last – and the conversation picks up where it left off, the last time you saw them, etc. Today, I saw a different colleague and friend – and looking back (afterwards), I now realize it’s been about six or maybe as much as eight yrs since we last saw each other. In this particular case, I’m pretty sure we had NEVER hugged before – we were just work friends. Anyway, the point is, today, we welcomed each other in this manner, like long lost friends, and the hug was HUGE! I just always feel amazed when this happens. I’ve always been a hugger – and I know, some people are not, and/or some people may be huggers but really do not know how to give a hug. I really think ‘proper hugging’ should be taught, early on!
Thank you, my young friend, for your hug today.
