Anyone ever order anything from Amazon and receive two of the item by mistake??
Last week, I ordered a “portable laptop desk” (I think everyone here is smart enough to figure out what that is), and yesterday, UPS delivers two packages, two different size boxes. At first, I thought the “desk” might come in two pieces, but after opening both of them, it was obvious they’d sent me two of the same thing. Interesting thing is, only one box had an invoice/shipping sheet, the other box didn’t. I scratch my head for a bit, and thought to myself that I could have clicked twice on the “add to cart” button, thereby ordering two of them. But, having just logged in, I’ve now verified I was only charged for just one of them. I could do the honest thing and send the duplicate back, but that potentially means they would just credit my account – and that would nullify what I was trying to do (unless I send it anonymously – without asking for a RMA – but, I think their returns dept won’t accept anything without a RMA). What’s a person to do? No, I’m not going to get on the phone, trying to explain it to someone at Amazon.
Woe is me – and that’s how it is, on a beautiful Tuesday evening, here in Beautiful Downtown Apple Valley.
