U/Saint Thomas – Summer class final exam

So, the final exam tonight (for my “Object oriented software analysis & design” class) was closed book, but we could bring a double sided cheat sheet to use. I got there, and the whole row behind me (4-5 people) were poring over copies of someone’s cheat sheet – font size 6, double column – I laughingly made a comment about the font size, so one person handled me a copy. I showed them that I would have to take off my glasses and hold the paper two inches from my eyes, and “everyone” laughed – no thanks, I said. [Besides, I don’t think it was right that people were sharing one person’s cheat sheet.]. It turned out, the professor wanted us to hand in our individual cheat sheets with the exam, so not sure what he will think when he sees the same cheat sheet for several students.

Exam itself was twenty questions – a few multiple choice, mostly “explain this or that concept”, etc. Missed a few outright. Got most of it done within first thirty mins, but took another twenty to go over my answers.

We’ll see. Based on an “A-” for the mid-term, and hopefully, a “B” (or better) on the group project, no matter how “bad” I did in the final exam, I think I’ll be getting at least a “B-” as a final grade (maybe an “A-“, but I’m not holding my breath).

One more class in Sept, and I’m finally done. Been a long (close to) three years, but even longer with me wanting this degree (since 1991). I’m glad I finally got my ducks in order three years ago to apply to get into this program. Best thing (almost) I ever did.
