I am trying to ignore this Fox News / Republican debate thing, but, doesn’t anyone (on stage or behind the scenes), understand it’ll be logistically impossible to have a “debate” among that many people on stage – get real – it’s even tough when it’s only 3 “debaters”.
Am I wrong, or are we really going to learn “something” from these ten people tonight (in order for “us” to make a judgement, and thereby narrow the field down to a more unwieldy number)?
I truly hope tonight’s event doesn’t turn into a circus, with debaters talking over other debaters, or talking over the moderators. That will truly show whether each debater is civil or just plain rude, in order to get heard.
I just cannot understand how this format will work (to allow each of them to speak their opinion, or to answer a question), without being interrupted by their fellow debaters.
I’ve not made up my mind yet as to whether I’m going to watch or not.
[personally, I think I just may turn on re-runs of “The Beverly Hillbillies” instead.]
