Football game mistake, and internet bullying (open in new window)
If you know me, you know that I really don’t pay attention to football. On the other hand, I do know what is being referenced in this blog post about the UM vs. MSU game. I think it’s just unimaginable that there are people who behave the way the blogger is writing about…please take a minute to read her post.
It’s a game – one team wins, another team loses – life goes on. The people making derogatory comments, or threats, or whatever regarding the player who dropped the ball at the end of the game – this stuff is just another form of cyber-bullying, cyber-terror, trolling, etc.
Don’t these people have anything else better to do? AND, the question really becomes: WHO TEACHES THESE PEOPLE THAT THIS BEHAVIOR IS ACCEPTABLE?? If it was your son (or daughter) who made the mistake, would you be making the same comments to them? Hopefully not – but, I bet if you are/were that type of parent that berates their kid(s) for making mistakes during a game – I’m betting your kid just may turn into the type of person you are – a bully.
Let’s. Unlearn. Bullying. Behavior. It’s. Really. Unhealthy. For. All. Of. Us.
