“Branding” of Marijuana Cigarettes (opens in a new window)
Way, way back when I was a clueless 6th grader (around 1970/71), I read a ‘science fiction’ short story/book). It was about a group of people (“hippies”) living during “caveman” times, and they were talking about the invention of various things, one example being “art”, with one caveman/hippie throwing pieces of bloody meat on the cave wall, while smoking branded cigarettes (which apparently weren’t tobacco, but “cannabis” – a word where, at that young age, I was very unfamiliar with).
Only took 45 yrs for “life” to imitate “art” (in this case, a fictional story).
I wonder if the “M” brand is for “Marlboro” or for “Marijuana”.
Update: After posting this, I have since learned it’s a hoax – sorry.
