Had a nice lunch with BFF Rick this afternoon, downtown MPLS (“Loon cafe” – just “ok” food for me, though Rick says his food was great). It was great getting together since today is an absolutely gorgeous day, and we decided to go for a walk around Lake Calhoun – just a real nice, fabulous walk, with the sun really shining (65 degrees?), and leaves still beautiful, and still falling in the breeze, lots of people walking their dogs, or on bikes, etc. Great people watching weather, ya know?
On the way home, I dropped in at Tar’get, intending to only get myself a bag of Ghiardeli Raspberry Chocolates, but, of course, I ended up going over to the grocery section (lemonade, salad, ice cream – shh!, etc.), then to the Little Girl toy section (double Shh!), then, to the Little Girl clothing section, and, it goes from a $5 bag of chocolates to ~$100 of “stuff” – I mean, this HAPPENS ALL THE TIME – it’s always a min of $100 to get out of that store – AM I RIGHT??
Something really nice happened to me last few days – somebody (SK??) I barely know paid me a compliment out of thin air – and, it was unexpected and really nice to hear. Sort of made my day.
