For the most part, I don’t listen (much) to Piano music. Sometimes, it’s a bit “too slow” for me.
However, today, we’re listening to music from a disk called “100 Best Film Classics” – this is disc four of a six CD set I received last year via a donation to MPR (MN Public Radio).
After listening to this CD, it seems to be mostly piano music – some piano solo’s and some with orchestra accompaniment. [Oh, this particular CD is sub-titled: “Piano at the Cinema.” Go figure ;)]
Music, as listened to on the Sonos (Play/3) speaker, in my office, very, very soothing to listen to, on this not-so-sunny day:
Mozart’s Piano Sonata #11 in A, K 331- 3 Rondo Alla Turca.
Mozart Piano Concerto #25 in C, K 503 – 2. Adante.
Beethoven Piano Sonata, #14 in C Sharp Minor, OP 7/2 “Moonlight” – 1. Adiago Sostenuto.
Chopin, Nocturne in C Sharp minor.
The infamous: Tchaikovsky, Piano Concerto #1, B Flat Minor, O;p. 23, Allegro Non Troppo E Moltro Maestoso.
Chopin Waltz #6 in D Flat, Op 6/41, “Minute”.
Debussy, Suite Bergamasque – Clair De Lune.
etc.
A total of 17 tracks.
While you may not recognize their names/titles, the music will be quite familiar to you since they have been all been used in various films over the years.
Wish Sonos would somehow allow me to copy/paste the music titles, rather than having to type them in…just sayin’
BTW, When I usually listen to piano music, it’s usually from my set of Vladimir Horowitz CDs
