Icing on the cake tonight, perfect ending to a perfect day.
Got to spend time with, and play with my little girl for the last four hours, first, at the “water park” (which unfortunately didn’t have the water turned on yet), but they also have a huge playground with a huge jungle gym, swing set, slides, etc. We played there for a long time.
Then we painted for a bit, read a few books (a new one about a little girl who, at first, “didn’t like” chocolate cake – she didn’t know what it was/tasted like, then, she had a piece, and promptly declared: “I’m going to marry chocolate cake” – Lailah loved this story.), and, finally, we did a small twenty piece Minnie Mouse puzzle together (ok, I did most of the work).
I then left her so she could spend the night with GranMaRose.
She is getting to be so smart, and sometimes a bit bossy ( 😉 ), and she is so special to me.
Anyway – an unexpected but pleasant surprise to be able to spend time with her today.
