Lailah’s new dolls – and creepiness

I bought a new doll for Lailah a month or so ago. Gave it to her when she was here, a couple of times ago. She immediately tells me “…She’s ‘creepy’, GranPa…” I ask her what she means, thinking it’s because of the thing sticking out the doll’s head. “No, GranPa, her glasses are creepy!” And, asks me “…can we get rid of her glasses?…”

Yup, of course. They were attached with small permanent rubber bands, but we got them off. Made her happy, but I don’t know if the doll appreciated her glasses being removed – we sorta forgot to ask her. (I did keep them, and maybe, I’ll try convincing Lailah that the doll needs them to see.)

For those with young girls or granddaughters, this doll is from a line of dolls called “Monsters high”, and she is named “Penelope Steamtail”. Lailah has this one and another called “Flara Blaze” at my house, and I had previously given her two other ones for her to have and play with at her house.

(I’m thinking of writing a book called, “Everything you wanted to know about girl’s dolls (in the 21st century), but were afraid to ask.”)

🙄😉🤓

By the way, did she look creepy to you?
