First time in my life that I’ve ever called my senators (or representatives).
But, I so much wanted my voice heard reflecting my opinion regarding the ban on assault weapons, as well as guns in general. I called both of them, and left msgs, asking them to either introduce a bill or support a bill regarding this issue. The number to call is 1-202-224-3122. That’s all you need, it will ask if you want to speak to your senator, or your representative, and you enter in your zip code. It will then ask which of your two senators you wish to speak with. I called twice, once for each senator.
Please add your voice to support the banning of assault weapons, and, if you’re in agreement, then the banning of all guns as well. Even if you are not in agreement to either of these, your voice is necessary, if you desire legislation for background checks, etc. Let them know what you’re for, or against.
As I just learned, it only takes a simple two minute phone call – you can even do it after hours if you don’t like talking to people, like me. 😉

For a long time, I didn’t care enough to actually voice my opinion to the people that supposedly represent me, but, the past five years has taught me that life continues even after I’m gone. This is for our children, and our children’s children.
No one should endure the heartache of having a loved one murdered.
Do it now.
If possible, make as many calls you can, this week, next week, next month, for however long you can – maybe, just maybe, this time they’ll listen to us.
