An hour or two ago, I read the following words by well known TV advertising spokesperson Mike Rowe, regarding the book just published by Bob Woodward:
“…’Fear’, a rather depressing tome designed to scare and divide the country even further than it already is.”

I shake my head, since I guess I’m so naive that I didn’t realize this was Mr. Woodward’s intention, while reading Bob’s book these last few days. [for those that do not understand sarcasm: that comment was sarcasm.]
To me, the book is a wake up call to those that still do not realize there is now, a very hateful and spiteful person leading our country, for the past twenty months; who’s been spreading hate, and spewing hostile, idiotic garbage (via Twitter) since as early as 2011/2012 (if not even earlier than that), scaring our nation, and dividing the country.
There is so much written evidence of his hatred of people; hundreds, upon hundreds of tweets (and, in fact, possibly at least a thousand tweets), over the last ten years where he has shown his true self; insulting hundreds of people, calling them various names, making extremely derogatory remarks about them, lying incessantly about things he knows nothing about, lying constantly, for no other reason but to spew his hate out into this world.
Obviously this divide was around for many years before President Trump ever came into the picture. But, it is also as obvious that it is not Bob Woodward now doing the scaring and dividing of our great nation; it’s the person supposedly running the country, who’s been intentionally saying and doing things to exacerbate our differences, and not showing any true leadership to bring us back together as one nation undivided.
I don’t care about his party affiliation (I would still be ranting this same way if he were a Democrat), I don’t care whether he is a self made billionaire or not, I don’t care if he’s “draining the swamp”, I don’t care; I don’t care; I don’t care. I don’t care if he’s “making America great again”. (He’s not, by the way.)
WHAT I DO CARE ABOUT is his inability to bring our country together, his inability to put aside petty issues, his inability to stop scaring our great country, his inability to stop trying to divide the country up into us vs. them, his inability to be compassionate, his inability to show empathy toward other human beings, his inability to lead us back to “greatness” – do you really see him making this country great again, or do you see him, tearing us apart – dividing us by skin color, by nationality, by ethnicity, and/or, by religion.
It’s not Bob Woodward’s publishing of a book causing us to be scared and divided.
It’s due to a person we elected two years ago as our nation’s leader who was known to be racist, bigoted, and intolerant of others, way before his election.
“We’ve seen the enemy; it is us.”
