As noted with my photos and video, I was able to spend time with the little girl, and her GranMaRose yesterday.
Afterwards, we spent the evening playing games, drawing, etc., and Jordan (Lailah’s dad) drops by, to drop off Lailah’s little sister Ruby, for the girls to spend the night with GMR. Most of the evening, I played with Lailah, and GMR played with/watched Ruby.
While I was watching Lailah draw at the kitchen table, Ruby comes over to scope us out and see what’s going on without her, and I scoop her up into my arms and held her in my arms, to let her see what Lailah’s doing, and we just sat on the kitchen chair together, just hanging out together, for a good portion of time, without her getting anxious or wanting to be put down. I obviously haven’t done that in awhile since I don’t get to see Ruby as much as I get to see the little girl, and it was pretty awesome holding her in my arms. She didn’t have any problem with me holding her for as long as I did. Ruby’s now walking and kinda talking a little bit (she’s going on 14 months!)
