I go online to charter/spectrum, and want to check out how much it’s going to cost me to add a new service to my account. They will provide pricing (via the web) if it’s a brand new account, BUT will not provide pricing if it’s an existing account. They force you into talking via phone or online chat to a live person.
So, I open a stupid chat session, after actually logging into my spectrum account, and before they can give me the info I’m looking for, they ask for a code number on my statement. Which, of course, I do not have since I’m set for non-paper statements.
Argh.
I now have to go find my emailed statement to get the code, and then open up a new chat session, etc.
This is too much effort, I dislike dealing with “real” people some times, even if it’s via a chat window.
