Mr. Trump and his comment regarding Elizabeth Warren

“Pocahontas”.

Ok, I’m pretty sure President Obama has someone on his staff doing his Twitter remarks for him.

I’m guessing that both Senator Sanders and Secretary Clinton also have people to do that kinda stuff too. (yes, probably both candidates have input and/or are consulted at times, before a tweet is twittered – but, my guess is, 75-90% of their tweets are made by their staff’s PR person.)

There are a couple of good reasons for doing that:

First, you can concentrate on doing your real job (like running the country).

(yeah, this first reason is already biting me in my foot, even as I type it – since Bernie, Hillary and Donald’s first and foremost job right now is the Campaign. My apologies.)

Second, the person doing your “twittering” is most likely (or should be) a Public Relations professional, who won’t send out racist, derogatory, insulting, insensitive remarks over social media for EVERYONE to see.

So, this truly begs the question, why the heck does Mr. Trump insist on doing his own Twitter remarks?? Is this similar to his John Miller alter-ego PR person? But, in this case, (I could be wrong), he readily admits he’s doing the actual Twitter tweets himself (e.g., the “Pocahontas” tweet). Also, how does he even have time to read other people’s tweets, or the time to create his own Twitter remarks? Shouldn’t he be boning up on foreign policy, and other important presidential knowledge areas?

My point here is, most, if not all presidents realize they sometimes are not the smartest person in the room, which is why they usually surround themselves with a team of trusted advisors, to get different ideas from, to gain different perspectives, etc. I’m sure that Mr. Trump does have such advisors on his campaign staff, but the problem is, it looks like he usually either doesn’t listen to them, OR, he ignores their advice, to his detriment.

If he does this during the election campaign, what do you think he’ll be doing once elected president. Will he listen or ignore his chosen Secretary of State, his National Security Advisor, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, etc.

I truly do not get this guy. He is so inarticulate during one-on-one interviews, cannot (or will not) answer direct questions, repeats things over and over during the conversation/interview, and just doesn’t seem that intelligent to me. He just doesn’t seem that he’ll ever show us that he does have a “presidential” side to him.

Between now and the Republican convention (or even worse, between the convention and the election), he’s going to do something totally wrong that will blow up in his face such that even his (major) supporters will have to back away from him.

For what it’s worth – this, for me, isn’t about Mr. Trump being a republican, or even disagreeing on the various (us vs. them) issues. I mean, if I were a republican, or if Mr. Trump was a democrat (like myself), I would be so embarrassed by this guy’s lack of intelligence, lack of class, lack of respect, for him to be my party’s choice as our presidential candidate.

Surely, there is some other republican choice better than Mr. Trump. Does the Republican Party really want this man to be the leader of our amazing country?

The republicans have just five more weeks (before their convention) to come up with a significantly better candidate. Just sayin’.

[I’m glad I’m not into Twitter. “Pocahontas”. Shaking. My. Head.]
