Vigilante murder in Georgia

Vigilante/cold blooded murderer/redneck: (paraphrasing) “well, I thought he had a gun, he reached into his pants”.

The young man in question, was out jogging, and had shorts on.

Here are my thoughts: When I wear shorts to go to the store, i usually carry my cell phone and my wallet in my short’s pockets, having just those two items tend to weigh down the shorts at times, causing me to have to hitch them up. You would think, if a guy is jogging, most likely the guy doesn’t have anything in his shorts – having stuff in your short’s pockets likely will disrupt your jogging rhythm – especially a gun.

So I seriously doubt someone was jogging with shorts on, AND carrying a gun at the same time, in his shorts. It would look obvious and ridiculous. Also, if he’d stolen anything (of significant value), wouldn’t you be able to see it (as you confront him) since they couldn’t exactly hide a drill (or a gun) in jogging shorts. Again – the shorts would be falling down, or at least bulging out quite a bit.

Lastly: I’ve done the same thing as this young man did; numerous times over the past forty years, I’ve pulled up in my truck to a new house being built, and I’ve wandered around (inside); not to steal stuff, but because I’m interested in house floor plans, and like to see new ideas for floor plans, as well as trying to figure out the floor plan when just staring at the wall studs. Quirky? Yes, most definitely. Transpassing? – I’d never once thought that i was “trespassing” – but, that’s just me and my naiveness, and if i was “caught” while in the house, I would explain my presence just as I’ve just done – I once wanted to be an architect, and i like going through houses being constructed – its a “quirky” habit, but I’ve never been confronted over it by a person with a shotgun (of course, I’m white, though).

Lastly (truly my last point). I’m assuming the police didn’t find any gun that you thought was hidden in his shorts (since no mention of that has been made in the media); as well as no mention of anything of value was found on this young man’s person after he was shot by you, not just once, but twice, killing him. Where was the item(s) that you think he had stolen?

How did you think this was going to turn out when you confronted the jogger, with a gun in your hand, and a second guy behind you, with another gun??

SMH. At. These. (Racist or not). F_ing. Idiots.
