Am I the only one that used to “rush” to the mail box each (and every) day, after coming home from work?
Am I the only one that would “rush” to the curb side on Sunday mornings, to get the newspaper so we can read the news and go thru the advertisements?
Sometime, around ten yrs ago, when I moved into this place, I stopped getting the daily and Sunday papers. I sometimes miss the paper. Reading “Google news” on the iPad each day is just not the same. And, no advertisements from Tar’get, Home Depot, Menards, Best Buy, Michaels, Joanne Fabrics (jk), etc.
Re: the daily mail routine. Sometime during the last year or so, I’ve stopped checking the mailbox on a daily basis. Like today, it’s been 4-5 days since I lasted checked it, and I actually went out to the curb just now (by the way, it’s sprinkling right now), and checked the box: ha, ha, only one envelope, a Utility statement. I think it’s the only paper bill/statement of mine that for some reason I haven’t changed to be electronic. Time to move that one to electronic format too, I guess.
Just feeling a bit nostalgic this morning.
