After the usual turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, Brussels sprouts, cranberry sauce, rolls, etc., our host had, not one, not two, not…[ok, we get the idea], but five, count them five different deserts from a (wonderful) desert place called Wouletts. They were:
Pumpkin pie
Cherry pie
Apple pie
Triple berry pie, and a
Cranberry tart.
The thing is, there were only nine of us there for dinner.
Basically, if you do the math, each of us got the equivalent of 1/2 of a pie.
Myself, I only had two pieces of pumpkin (with whipped cream – the real kind, home made), and one piece of cranberry tart.
So, I’ve been home now for a few hours, and I just realized I went home without taking any leftover pie/tart with me.
I’m hankering for some more pumpkin pie.
Or Chocolate.
Neither of which I have in the house.
It’s ten-thirty pm now. No stores are open, since it’s a holiday. Baker’s Square, down the road, has been closed for several hours by now.
Not sure what I’m going to do.
Talking about not being sure about things, I am working tomorrow (Friday), and I cannot decide wheather to go into work or work from home.
I guess that decision will be made when the alarm goes off in the morning.
None of which helps me with my more immediate pumpkin pie/chocolate problem.
No ice cream in the house either.
WHAT WERE YOU THINKING??
Oh yeah, I was going to have me a nice home made loaf of bread upon getting home from Thanksgiving dinner.
[well, that was the plan…]
I’m gonna post this and get off the couch, and take a gander at the “fridge” and see what’s cooking in there.
Wish me luck.
Good night, hope all of you had a wonderful day with your family or friends. I know I did. I’m grateful for all my friends, and for my extended family.
